can not install icq in redhat 7.2

I'm very new to linux . I have a problem in installing the kxicq in linux redhat 7.2 [root@localhost root]# rpm -i kxicq-03132000-1.i386.rpm error: failed dependencies: libjscript.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkdecore.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkdeui.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkfile.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkfm.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkhtmlw.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libkimgio.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libmediatool.so.2 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 libqt.so.1 is needed by kxicq-03132000-1 [root@localhost root]# Please give advice here , Thank you Regards jycm2001 malaysia |
It looks like you've either installed an RPM that was compiled against a different version of KDE that what you are using, or that you're missing some core KDE libraries.
I haven't used RH 7.2 in quite a while; what verssion of KDE gets installed with it? You can use the "locate" command to see which libraries you have installed. For example, the following should tell you if libkfile is installed, and if so, which version: locate libkfile |

I'm not so sure of the version of the KDE . By the way , how do i check the version ? the actual file name of the icq is kxicq-03132000-1.i386.rpm By the way , just now , i have installed yahoo messenger by using RPM . After the installation , it works . But when i were installing the ICQ , the error message appeared . |
I'm not using KDE on the system I'm on right now and I actually haven't used KDE in a while, so I could be wrong, but...
I think if you open the KDE Control Center menu item you can find the version # there. |
