Can not download from repository


I am very new to Ubuntu. Using version 8.04. When attempting to update, I get a message stating that i am unable to download from repository. Here is the connections that can't download: What can I do?

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Do you use Synaptic? Have you ticked the box for Source Code (5 down on the front page)? Untick it!It is not necessary.

It looks like you're trying to use an address that doesn't exist. Why don't you post the text from /etc/apt/sources.list?

Not sure of the procedure of how to do that.

Just open the file with your favorite editor and copy/paste its content here, using CODE tags to improve readability. Otherwise open a terminal and do
