Hello and Welcome to LinuxQuestions,
Have a look at The Mono Project. I'm sure it will be of use. Kind regards, Eric |
I'm not a programmer but I've dabbled with C# under the Mono environment. You should be able to install Mono from the Red Hat repositories (That's an assumption so may not be true! :) )
Play Bonny! :hattip: |
thanx, found mono on the Red Hat repositories
|
We used XSP webserver for that job. If you need further help let me know, I have some experience migrating ASP.Net to Linux.

pliz wld love as much help as i can get
|
We can't help if you don't try suggestions and give more details.
We can't guess what your problem is and remotely fix it. |
i need to migrating ASP.Net to Linux and am using red hat. i managed to get mono from red hat repositories and now i dont know the next step of migrating my ASP.net files to red hat
|
I haven't tried his but I'm under the impression that Mono is the open source equivalent of .net. Have you tried opening your .net files with Mono? Your source code files that is. You may need to recompile within Mono to run under Red Hat as Linux doesn't use .exe files.

No, you don't need to recompile anything.
To use your ASP.net files under linux you have two choices: use an apache plugin or install the XSP webserver server (which I've recommended). Once installed (the XSP server) you can use your ASP.net website as it is a PHP or HTML website. Just put the files on the selected directory and browse! |
i managed to instal xsp webserver and i have moved on to the next stage were i install mod_mono and this is the output i am getting:
