Can kde programs run in other desktop environments


hello

For example, can I use kdenlive in mate, lxde, xfce, unity or others?

qt is NOT kde, kde uses the qt toolkit, bit theres more to kde than that, if you need to run a program written specifically for kde you will also need the kde libs and possibly some other stuff.

If I were using unity, it would install all the dependencies, libraries for a kde application to work, right?
