Can I use photoshop CS3 on Kubuntu?

Im REALLY new to this whole system, and it confuses the heck out of me. I was wondering if it was possible to run photoshop CS3 on Kubuntu? Or do I need to have a second system on my computer in order to do that?

Please refrain from foul language it is not appropriate on these forums. As for Photoshop I doubt if it will work unless it does in wine or playonLinux. This is a closed source program ,have you tried Gimp ?it is Linux's version and it is free.

Linux is not Windows.

In short, no. Linux is not natively compatible with Windows software.
If your resourceful, you can with WINE, but there are no guarantees.

It could be installed. Not sure how legal it would be so I can't say here how to do it.

I believe Crossover officially supports Photoshop CS3, which means that its one of the programs that they specifically try to make work on their platform. Crossover is sort of a Wine fork.

Why not use GIMP instead? Its just as good as Photoshop in most ways that matter

alibabeh19,

as noted, foul language (such as the F word) is inappropriate, and I have edited your post for this reason. I suggest that as a new member, you please review the LQ Rules if you haven't already. They are at link below:

Thank you and kind regards.
