Can I run Windows98 and Debian Linux at the same time?
i am very new in linux...is it possible to run linux and windows at the same time on my PC. if possible how? thanks
Yes you can. It is called virualization. Look into vmware or XEN. Might also do a google on linux virutalization or just virtualization.
Virtualization is for running both OSes concurrently. You can also easily set your computer up to run one or the other. The two OSes can share files, but you can only run programs in one at a time.

I think I misread his post. I think he was asking if he could dual boot win98 and linux.
Technically you can only run one operating system at a time. There are utilities that permit you to run non-native programs (eg, Wine) but you still are running the one OS.
If you are asking if you can *install* Linux and Windows on the same machine, then Yes, that's just a dual boot install. There are many threads on this topic, please search them for more info |
i install grub for dual boot on my PC i dont have problem on booting. What I mean is that I am running Linux is it possible to run also WINDOWS at the same time?
If you mean run windows while using linux at the same time then refer to my earlier post about workstation virualization.
