Can I Disable Password Login (Zorin 10)?

I have been using Linux Mint on my main laptop for about a year now and have a fairly decent understanding of Linux. I say fairly, by no means an adept.

Anyway

My old laptop, an e-machines, 32bit single core, was about to be turned into a doorstop, until I discovered Zorin OS 10.

I have used or tried a few distros and have usually come a cropper with issues or learning curves. So I was really pleased to find this system working "out of the box" with all its compiz whistles and bells working..................

So, I installed this about two weeks ago and have been slowly using it for basic jobs. I must admit, Zorin 10 works great on my antique machine.

My only bugbear is this; I can feel the embarrassment flush coming on........
After 10 minutes of the laptop sitting idle, the screen lock comes into play and I have to type in my password (which is lengthy).

OK, Zorin 10 is based on Ubuntu 15.10? So, I found some terminal commands to disable the screen lock but nothing works. Is it in the general GUI, staring me in the face? Or, is there a OS specific command to disable the requirement of a password to log back in?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

An Ex-Windows user.

It may be a BIOS, Battery, or Video option as well as the OS itself. Most will have it under the Power Options.

I don't have Zorin 10, but on 9 if you go to the Z menu and then to Preferences, you will see Light Locker Settings where you can change the settings, a longer time or diable it.

If you want to log on without a password, the Z menu, System Tools and Users and Groups.

:oOh..................or should that be "DOH!" ? :o:o

Ok.....Zorin Main Menu > System Settings > Brightness & Lock > Lock "OFF" and Uncheck "Require My Password"

How obvious was that?

I'm not using Zorin enough (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it). :)

Great!

& Many thanks to you all for promptly contributing toward the answer. :)
