Can anyone recommend C and C++ books for linux???


Hi there! I'm trying to learn C and C++ for linux. Can anyone kindly recommend any website(if there any) and also some books that teaches C and C++ (for linux)?

Bruce Eckel has written several books on object oriented programming with C++ and Java. They are not Linux-specific but quite worth the download (and even purchase, perhaps).

The language is the same on Windows and Linux so I suggest you try to learn the language itself. Or, if you're a seasoned Windows C++ developer you can jump directly to the g++ (the GCC C++ compiler) manual.

A quick Google search led me to a LinuxJournal article which seems like a good starting point though.
