can anyone help? i'm getting error while checking mail
 

Hello guys. I was using Slackware Linux 8.0 and it was configured as DNS, Mail & Proxy serever. A months ago I have installed Slackware Linux 10.0. Since then my mail users getting problem while checking their mail. very often they can't check their mail. I checked the message log files and it shows the following message when they can,t check mail:

"Apr 15 18:58:21 ns1 popa3d[16720]: Failed or refused to load /var/spool/mail/asro"

Can anyone help me out from this problem ? I don't know what cause this problem and what is the solution ? I'm solving this problem by deleting the mail file of the user from /var/spool/

but i think this is not the solution since ieverytime user lost their mails.

wow, that's an impressively dangerous way to "fix" a problem... if you're running a mail server for other people you should surely know the basics of mbox files.... the most likely cause to me would feel like permissions issues, what are the permissions on the files that go wrong? also how much disk space do you have when one is failing? can you take that mbox file and open it as root?

The permission is not the issue. i checked that.

and i have enough disk space.

I'm not understanding what do u mean by open the file as root?
r u saying open the file as root like more "file"
