can 'ls' command be recursive?
 
i wish to do a 'ls -l' command recursively, and can't understand the man-pages to figure it out / can't find info. what would be the command to do so? thank you for reading my post...

Just use ls -R.

how do i grep for a number of 'X' or larger...?

you can also try find for that. do 'man find'.
