hi, when issue this command:

[root@localhost /]# umount /mnt/cdrom/
umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy

oh, i'm not in the device dir,
root@localhost /]# pwd
/

lets see who's using my device?

[root@localhost /]# fuser -v /mnt/cdrom/

USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/mnt/cdrom/ root kernel mount /mnt/cdrom

....where is the process id for me to -----kill----- !? :P

final thought: this only happen when i least expected LOL

p.s: no supermount aviable, already disabled that buggy program

would knowing fstab helps?
/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom iso9660 user,iocharset=iso8859-1,sync,noatime,codepage=850,noauto,ro 0 0

I hate to suggest it but have you tried rebooting the machine? That should umount the drive. As to why you're getting this problem...well.....I haven't got a clue.

Did you read through the man page for fuser?

It looks like there is a -k option you might want to use for that.

Note: I'm not yet familiar with fuser, I just did a quick look at the man page.

/mnt/cdrom/:
No process references; use -v for the complete list
No automatic removal. Please use umount /mnt/cdrom


yes, i did, just forgot to post it.
as for why i got this stupid thing? well, looks like to me that whenever i'm trying to read cd (which carry backup informations from windoze and file system is follow windoze style) and i got that problem.

will reboot works? yes it does. just looking for other alternative so i don't have to reboot all the time.
