can't login with new user on FC4

Hi all, new install of FC4.
When asked during install I chose to install support for Kerberos and LDAP(going to hopefully join to a 2003AD domain) and use this box as a log server(for ntsyslog).

I can login as root, but when I create new users I cannot login.
I get failed auth error.
Do I need to add the user to any groups manually on a server install? Or can I jst leave it with the default group(username group) in the users and groups GUI?

Ok so i worked that out. Having set the support for kerberos i also put in a server for it to use and I guess that none of that should be setup until I have joined the machine to the domain--which is my next big step.
I removed the support for kerberos and now I can create users and login.
Incidentally, what is the difference between the varying login shells for users that i can choose? eg bin/bash as opposed to bin/ksh?

ghost, do you know that this is the fifth FC4 problem i saw in the last (/me checks) 3 minutes? As for the question. Check your PAM settings.
