Can't install Fedora 9


Hi all,

I'm newbie of linux user. I would like to install Fedora 9 to the old server HP NetServer lp2000r.
After select language -> keyboard. It have error message occours.

(3)SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 9c2e66, size 61d6
(3)SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x2724

These message are repeat many times.

I have no any idea for this problem. Please help.

those are errors reading the cdrom or dvd. You'll need a new copy of the disk or a different drive to read the disk in, if the problem is just that drive.

Was this message after the option to check media? I suspect it was. If so, did you check the media?

If it already has an operating system installed, and you have access to the internet, you can use unetbootin to do an easy net-installation:

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

I had try to use different drive and different discs, but same error occurs.

and I try to install windows server 2003, it not have any error.

did you by chance save the 4.1 gig dvd iso ( before you burned it to dvd) on a fat32 partition/formated drive
Also fedora 9 and OLD hardware do not get along to well , there will be some install and running problems
see if the fedora9live cd will boot and run
