Cool Can't install downloaded NDISWrapper for Ubuntu ?

I've got a problem with ndiswrapper - which I need for installing the driver for my wireless adapter - I've downloaded & extracted onto the Ubuntu desktop but don't know how to install the damn thing ?
I am completely new to Linux & am enjoying using it as a second OS,
Please don't just reply saying something like DEV/...blah, blah as I wouldn't know where to start...

...plz explain from scratch.

Thanks in advance

You don't need to install NDISwrapper from source, as Ubuntu has a package for it: https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/interne...iswrapper.html. You might also like to read the rest of the documentation on wireless networking: https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/internet/C/wireless.html.

If you want to install NDISwrapper from source, well, there's nothing to stop you. Just read the installation instructions.
