Can't get online w/Slackware 9.1

I chose the worst distro to start with

I'm using Slackware 9.1 and can't get online. I get an error and I'm 99% sure it's because I didn't install a PCI network card, which is onboard on my NF7-S. I have absolutely no idea how to go about installing this. I also have a spare card, but it's from an old HP and I have no idea what drivers it uses (because I don't even know what brand the NIC is.)

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if I didn't provide enough info. Just ask if I missed anything.

It's not slack's fault that you don't know what

I checked nvidia.com for linux drivers for the nForce2 chipset, but they didn't have slackware listed. Will this be a problem?

That'll be fine mate....

Besides the "branding" and some differences
in package-management and file locations Linux
will be Linux ...
