Can't view MSWord documents in KWord

Hi guys,

I'm running Mandy 8.2.

I just tried to view some MS Word documents in KWord and it said something about an importer error. Can't import the file. I looked in the KWord help file and it says that the importers for MS Word are not working at this time.

Does anybody know if there is a fix for this and if not, is there another word processor program I can get that will allow me to work with my MS Word documents.

Thanks,
freezinbutt

Thanks guys. I'll get over there and download 5.2. I guess I better do it before SunMicro changes their minds and make us pay for 5.2 also.

Thanks for the ideas,

Isn't Openoffice suppoesed to be better than staroffice? I still didnt have a chance to try it (dial up 56k modem - it'll take days do download ) but if u are already downloading a office suite you might want to get openoffice. I also heard it doesnt have the so annoying desktop...

Hope that helps.......
