Can't step in a directory after unzip

I zip some directories structure on WIndows using zip from cygnus. When I move a zipped file to Linux and unzip it I can't to enter in unzipped directory after. It listed as
d--------- myname myname
If I change mode adding rw it doesn't help. If I try unzip -X archive, unzip reports that can't set UID,GID to 500,500.
Where is a problem? If I use jar command from Java to zip files, I have no such problem.

I think to enter a DIR, you need eXecution permissions..

Code:
chmod +x DIR

You are posting in a thread on an unrelated topic. I suggest you start a new thread. When you do, please supply some more info:
What is "LINX 9"? eg maybe Redhat?
Is sdb1 your swap file?
Post the output of fdisk -l (run as root)
