Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I've just installed SuSE 9.0 and after a bit of fiddling with the settings to detect the right network card I'm able to surf the net using Konqueror fine.
Using KMail I can receive emails no probs.
However, I can't send them.
It says that the server didn't accept the senders address. Wot?
I've checked and reckecked my smtp settings and the entries say exactly what it says in my Win XP OE boxes:
But, the server didn't accept the senders address.
What does that mean then? Which box do you think I haven't done correctly?
As a newbie, do you reckon I could do better than Konq and Kmail? Mozilla maybe?
ps: I've configured the Firewall, I think. No sign of it doing anything, though. I'm used to ZoneAlarm Pro popping up and telling me it's doing its job and asking me if i want to allow this and that. Seeing as nowts happening with this one does it mean I haven't done it right. I've had my PORTS PROBED before, I don't want it to happen again!!!
