Can't seem to find the iso? (fixed)
I downloaded the Mandriva-2007.0-One-Metisse.i586.iso. I have burned live iso's before with no issue but when i open the files i see no recognizable(to me)ISO file to burn. In the rar file i have loopbacks, isolinux, and a boot folder. But i do not see any iso file? There is the file ext. sgfs? that appears to be about the right size but when i try to burn it with nero it wont go. Could i perhaps change the ext to .iso or am i just entirely missing the point? I know this may be a silly question but i would like to figure this out. Thanks for any help.

In Nero, there is an option to make it a bootable disc. Make sure that option is selected. Not sure if will work, but it's worth a shot! Test it out on a CD-RW

I just un-installed win-rar and after doing so the main file showed as an iso not a .rar file. I had read mention of this in other posts that it should not be a .rar. I did this due to when i tried to change the .sqfs ext it then made that into a .rar also. I don't use win-rar anyhow so i got rid of it. I am burning the file as i type so we'll see how it goes.
Edit: That was the problem for whatever reason win-rar made the .iso into a rar. All is well. |
