WHenevre i send email from other computer , i got the folllowing message:

This is the Postfix program at host *******.*****.com.au.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned
below could not be delivered to one or more destinations.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the message returned below.

<taiwf@xxx.xxxx.com.au>: Name service error for xxx.xxxx.com.au: Host not found

can you ping the xxx.xxxx.com.au from the server? or run an nslookup on that domain name?

Yes , i can ping the host name of the "new server" but soemhow my gateway server can't ping that host name. I got host not found for ping it. I have tried to put the nameserver of LAN1 (which is external ip address) onto newserver resolv.conf, but nothing work. Also , i tried to cp /etc/resolv.conf /var/spoolpostfox/etc but no luck still. The postfix faq bring me no light either(under section "postfix within intranet") --http://www.postfix.org/faq.html#intranet

basically , my network configuration is like below:

=======================================
|| LAN1 (gateway server) ||
|| ||
|| || =====> Internet.
|| ---------------------- ||
|| | New server | ||
|| ---------------------- ||
=======================================

**gateway server got its own firewall & email servers , etc and is connect to isp

when nslookup the host.domain name, i got:

#Server: 127.0.0.1
#Address: 127.0.0.1#53

#** server can't find debian-dav.f22.com.au: NXDOMAIN
