Can't read disc?

I have a problem reading information that I copied to a cd rom disc using the apple leopard os text editor. Here is my problem. I use to use the apple leopard os and now I have switched to linux puppy, I have files on cd disk that I need to read using linux puppy os. I can't view these files now using linux puppy. These files were created using a simple text editor program in apple leopard os. What do I need to do to read these cd rom disc using linux puppy os? How can I convert these files using linux puppy os so I can read them and use them from the cd rom disc.

Thanks for all the help in advance. I really apprerciate all of you who helped me get started using linux puppy os. Just think, you can get a nice simple os for your computer for FREE that REALLY WORKS! How can you beat that!

there's one important detail that isn't clear from your description:
a) You can't read the CD at all
b) You can read the CD, you can see the directory, but the files seem to contain garbage

I'm asking because the Apple OS's may use a totally different CD file system (not the standard ISO-9660), which isn't supported by other systems. In that case, situation a) would apply, and the most obvious solution would be to write this CD again on OS-X, but his time using the ISO-9660 file system.

If szenario b) applies, there may be a problem with the end-of-line characters - Apple OS's historically tend to use CR (ASCII 13), while Linux uses LF (ASCII 10). Just for completeness: Windows uses CR+LF (ASCII 13, 10).
Most editors, however, can handle all the three variants.

can't read cd?

Hi Doc cpu, Thanks for the quick reply. I can not read the cd at all. I think this is because of the different format used by apple leopard os. When I try to read these disc crreated on my apple mac mini pc thay just show up as blank or sometime look like unreadable garbage that ooks like cumputer code.

Thanks,

I don't have much idea but hearing the MAC word reminds me something that the leopard which you are trying to access must be in this format

mac.dmg

and I believe only mac OS can read this file and for other OS it would be unrecognizable.

So it would be better if you check the extension of the cdrom file
