Can't puTTY into local server (any more)

I was logged onto a local Linux server via putty, and everything was working perfect. All of a sudden, I could no longer do so. Nothing changed that I know of. I could still SSH into it via a different machine using my normal username/password which I use with puTTY. I've rebooted the machine, but no changes.

Any thoughts why? What should I look into first?

Hi there,

A few quick questions:

- What error (if any) does PuTTY give you?
- Where any SSH updates possibly done on the server recently?
- Are you running the latest version of PuTTY?

One possibility I've encountered was because of key algorithm differences between current SSH servers and older PuTTY clients.

Are you using a profile you created on putty or just typing in the ip/hostname in to the new connection field?

Also, can you ssh with putty into any other machine?
