May be it's an old Redhat EL4 ? No yum by default. But up2date.

This command will show your Redhat version : cat /etc/redhat-release

Red Hat Linux release 8.0 (Psyche)

knudfl 11-07-2012 05:10 PM

Redhat 8.0, released : September 30, 2002
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Hat_Linux

No yum, no subversion ..
ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pu...6/RedHat/RPMS/

Suggest : Set up a contemporary "Redhat" OS in vmware.
Like Fedora 17, CentOS 6.3, Scientific Linux SL 6.3 .
Those modern OS's can do the job.
Do not expect a 10 year old OS like RH 8.0 to be of much use.

unfortunately, we require to use this OS, as a part of the project. the good news are, that i saw once someone that manage to work with svn on this OS. the bad news are that i can't reach him...
any ideas?!

Requirement to use that outdated OS is very strange.
If you sure that you can't use something more recent
you can try to use svn from here: http://www.magicermine.com/demos.html

@dushyantgohil: you're talking about the current RHEL series.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhel

The previous RHL series was totally free

As above post#4, that's so old and unsupported its not funny. I find it hard to believe anyone would require that...

What old? Some time ago I had to install in VM RedHat4 (not RHEL 4, RedHat 4)
