Can't locate locate

is it me or...

When I try to use the Locate command in SuSE 8.2... it says command not found. I know this is a valid command. Anyone know what's up?

Are you typing Locate or locate or LOCATE? Remember that Linux is a case sensitive OS. The real command is locate all with lower case :)

You can also use whereis, and which, to find the location of a file located in one of your paths.

Using all lower...

whereis works, though, as does find. Hmmmm....
