Can't install Xine....Going to throw PC out window

Ok, I know this should be simple, and I've followed the directions to a T on the following link Xine downloads/Instructions and after installing most of the packages successfully, when I try and install the xine-ui RPM, it tells me I need 3 other files or directories....I tried typing 'xine' in a Terminal window, and I of course, get a "Command not found"...I am seriously ready to throw this cr@p out the window right now....Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

okay well... man.. get the 3 other files!! xine probably depends on them.. also you might want to try installing it with a urpmi database ... like if you have mandrake.. the RPMdrake... but you will need to configure the FTPs first..

Normally its okay to have a previous application but if you had rh 8 and you used a rh 9 xine THAT wouldnt be okay.. this seems okay though... the rh8 version SHOULD work.. and make sure you have the other 3 files!! also you need plugins for xine!
