can't install suse through FTP
 

hi,

i tried to install Suse through the boot CD. it says it cant install
Suse through FTP since it cant find the network card.
i cant locate the network card module.
Internet is through LAN.
In windows, i connect to internet through VPN..it is probably
dynamic ip, but im not sure.

please help

the problem is that suse cannot detect your network card... what card/model do you have?

i finally managed to configure the network card. i used dhcp or whatever it is and its working.
its connecting to the FTP server , loads something to the ram, but a blue screen comes
and YAST is not starting because of some error..what should i do?

well, that's another error entirely...

have you used this computer before, and you know that the keyboard works?

what is it, ps/2?

Are you using a 9.0 juspstart disk with the 9.1 distro?

yes, iam 100% sure that this ps/2 keyboard works(iam typing this using this keyboard ;) ) . i tried other keyboard and got the same error.
i tried to install it in another machine and got the same error.
how to find out which version of suse boot disk iam using?
