Can't install Redhat 9. Locks after loading second file
I boot to the CD and get the prompt, but no matter which options I try, the result is the same:
boot: Loading vmlinuz.......................... Loading initrd.img........................ <**REBOOT**> That's as far as it ever goes. This is the i386 version that I downloaded (and checked the MD5 for assurance). My computer is: Pentium II 400Mhz 384 Mb ram Three harddrives (all SCSI) 20Gb - currently has Windows 2000 Advance Server installed 8Gb 4Gb Do I need to format the Windows HD first? Any clues anyone? |
umm im not sure if this would work but theres other options... like making a boot disk .. not sure how much HELP that'd be but thats all i can think off... with dosutils/rawwrite.exe .. you make a floppy with the CD image on it.. or HD image if you want to install it from HD... im not sure how much that would help though... compurers are weird things though sometimes.. i tried turning on my computer and it wouldnt boot up right.. then magically aftre the 8th time it did.. !
