Hello All, I am new to the world of Linux and to Oracle as well. am trying to install Oracle enterprise Linux but getting an error message : An error occurred - no valid devices werefound on which to create new file systems.Please check your hardware for the cause of the problem.
Is it something wrong with the option I am using while installing the OS? Please suggest, thanks.

You have no unformatted disk to create the Oracle file system. Oracle's knowledegbase has lots of this issue, and their support can help you too, since Oracle Enterprise is a pay-for product. Give them a call
Hello Thanks a lot for the information, but I also found that while using the New Virtual Machine wizard and are prompted to choose a guest operating system version, choose Other Linux 2.6.x Kernel instead of Red Hat Linux. It let me install it properly without the error message.
