Can't install GCC compiler!??!?!
I'm trying to install teh Belkin Gigabit network card into my Fedora Core 3 box. Running the install script reuires the gcc compiler, which I managed to find in the 'add programs' applet. Problem is taht when I tell it to install it (update) it gives me a list of otehr apps that are not installed and that it can't continue untill they are. I can't find ANY of them in the list of available packages.
The packages it says are missing are: libselinux dbus krb5-libs pam libxml2 Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here???? Thanks. Mick |
look on your install cd's for the packages. surely rpm did not complain about libxml2 for installing gcc? also, to compile you need more than just gcc ( depends on what you compiling, but gcc by itself will not compile an application, but you might be able to compile a module with only it).
