Question Can't get sound working with SuSE 9.1

I can't get any sound with my Audigy 2 soundcard. I've have a look in YaST and it recons the card is running?? Any ideas?

Also I can only get 3d acceleration with my Gforce FX5900 if I choose 16bit?? Any Ideas again?

I must say that after buying a copy of Suse 8.2, 9.0 and now 9.2 I think 9.2 is pretty poor so far. Nothing but problems. I never had to configure anything with the older versions. I can't even tap the mouse pad any more on my laptop I have to use the buttons to click.

Any one else have any SuSE 9.1 comments?

Thanks in advance for your help

Steve

I just did the YOU update to install my nVidia drivers.

If a linux distro could just get it user friendlyness sorted out Windows would be dead. But its just so much hassle sorting the simplest of things

As for nVidia, goto www.nvidia.com and then download the newest drivers for Linux. Follow there instructions, and you should be good. As for sound, mine wouldn't work unless I left it completely alone. I just did a fresh install, and didn't try to detect it, or set it up in anyway after I installed and it worked fine. When I did try to set it up, it didn't work... I had to remove it, reboot, shutdown, put it back in, and start again. Then without doing anything it worked. Try that. If that doesn't work try searching google and other places for a fix, perhaps a driver.
