Can't get my mouse to work in Red Hat
Okay, I'm running Red Hat 8.0.9 and I have a Microsoft 2-button Intellimouse that just sits in the upper right corner of my screen and goes nuts anytime I try to move it. I figured out keyboard shortcuts well enough to do pretty much anything without it, so if fixing the problem requires going into the menu or something, that's no problem.
Oh yeah, it's a PS/2 intellimouse. And that's what it's set at in the system settings, but it still doesn't work. one more thing. When I start up Red Hat, OpenOffice always starts up, can someone help me stop that? |
yeah even i had a problem with my mouse in redhat 9
i sent the problem to this problem and got it solved you must look into your /etc/X11/XF86Config see if all the sections are correct and remember always make a backup of the file i screwed up my Xserver while playing with it |
maybe its not linux, try cleaning the mouse ball and making sure the mouse will work with other computers. Make sure it is connected to the computer.
