I am truing to run the DVD version of knoppix on my system and I get the error "Can't find KNOPPIX file system" I've searched google but nothing I have read has helped me resolve the issue. I've tried the nodma, failsafe, and home=/dev/sda1 boot options but still I get "Can't find KNOPPIX file system" Below is my systems specifications. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. If I can't get this to work are there any other good Live DVD distros?

Try to find out if you're missing any modules on boot-up. If you jump over to terminal 1 you can see all the kernel messages.

Okay, did the downlaod complete and match the md5 sum?
Did you use a torrent client, a browser, or some command line down-loader?
Did you test the disk by inserting it and looking for the image files?
Did you use a RW medium so that you can erase it completely and try again?
Try a CD distro first of knoppix. I suggest version 5.1 before adriane. You have the option of suspend to ram, freeing the dvd writer for use.
