Can't find fedora 18-19 motif widget toolkit for download.

Hi,

This is a simple question. Do you know where I can find the Motif Widget Toolkit for Fedora 18 over the internet, or do I have to purchase it? Google gives me the runaround. Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to LQ.

Very simple : # yum install motif-devel

also BE AWARE fedora 18 will hit it's END OF LIFE 30 days after fedora 20 comes out
and Fedora 20 should be released in 10 days

so upgrade to fedora 19 now
or do a NEW ,CLEAN, FRESH install of fedora 20 in 10+ days

it is NOT recommended to try to upgrade from 18 to 20
a reinstall is needed

once fedora 18 hits it's End Of Life , there will NEVER be any more support for it
no updates
no security fixes
no nothing

Linux Motif Dialog editor

Thanks.

I now have the motif libraries files, man pages and everything I need to develop Motif GUI applications. However, is there a GUI dialog editor (sort of like Microsoft's Dialog editor) for Linux Motif that I can use to build dialog screens? or no.

Your helpo will be greatly appriciated.

A question
is the antique IBM motiff gui what you really MUST USE , it is a bit old .
Was all the rage back in 1989 ,it is simple but a bit plain .

fedora 19 and 20 have a rather nice Gnome3 and KDE4 tool kits
for making modern GUI interfaces

and the QT4 toolkits are rather nice

Its called GTK.

But many projects are abandoning it as it has become too tied into Gnome to be usable for anything intended to be cross platform. Most of those projects are going to qt.
