Can't add manually installed app to Gnome 3 menu
I have installed Yoono desktop on Linux Mint 15 but cannot add it to the main menu or the overview bar, for easier access in Gnome 3.
Does anyone know how I might do this? |
If you installed it from the Mint repos you should have a .desktop file for it in /usr/share/applications. If it exists, open it up and check it against a known working app.
|
If you built it from source look in /usr/local for the .desktop file.

Thank you for responding, but I figured it out last night. :)
I installed alacarte and added the manually installed app to that menu and it showed up in the Gnome3 menu. I right clicked it and added it to the overview favorites bar from there. |
