busybox .. applet not found!

I wanted to use busybox on my system ,but I met some problems with it.
As follows:

[root@ISCAS-Joy tmp]# /sbin/busybox addgroup
addgroup: applet not found

some other command also appeared the same errors ..xxx: applet not ound
but some not ...

Could I think the XXX(which applet not found) is not supported by current busybox version ? or what probably the errror is ?
thankx

did you check the .config as i suggested? (two years ago) if it is commented out then it is unlikely it was compiled in to the busybox binary. if you are unsure copy and paste the .config file here.
