With Nero Burning Rom:
----------------------
Open Nero.
Close the wizard if it is started automatically.
Go to "File"
then to "Burn Image...".
In the next dialog, click on "Image Files (*.nrg)" and select "All files
(*.*)".
Choose the .iso file and accept.
In the following dialog make sure:
- Type of Image is: Data Mode 1
- Block size: 2048
- Image header: 0
- Image trailer: 0
- All the checkboxes are unactive.
Click "OK".
In the next dialog check that the "write" and "finalize" option are active.
Click on "Write".

After Much effort this is what i came up with and it worked the first tme out..

I got a copy of Nero when I bought a new CD-RW about two weeks ago. I think that it only works on Windows, not Linux. Are you describing running Nero on Windows or does it also work on Linux?

i think he is just referring to burning redhat on windows for newbs, but all i can say to this post is, if a person doesn't know how to burn an iso, they shouldn't be using windows let alone linux..

for those of you that cant offer encouragement for a post that is helpful to all, then that says alot of why alot of people dont use forums and stay away from linux. Its people like this that give computing a bad rap.

d00d i wasn't trying to diss your post, cause seriously imo if you really think about it, and i know linux as goes for everything else is as hard as you make it on yourself, but windows is virtually dummy-proof, and by a long shot linux is harder to learn that windows....and i mean one of the main spots to get the linux isos is linuxiso.org and it has directions on burning the iso on the page, and even if they get it somewhere else all they do is type "burn iso" at a google prompt and they will know 5 mins later how to do it...
i know your just trying to lend a helpful hand, but i would think if someone is at a linux fourm i would say at least minimum 95% of the people have linux on their machine already or they have it on disk preparing to get it on..
so then in turn if you think about it, this post mainly benefits people without linux and are using windows wondering how to burn it for they can use it...and when they do their search at google or wherever they search things, i will bet they will land at a different site with a iso burning step by step....
so all for all yes its a good step by step for people i just don't think, again in my opinion, that this is the place for it..

there are also some guys on the ýnternet who are thýnking about mýgrating to linux so this is the %5 part of our guest users so when some one comes here and sees this post he/she is gonna think that if i can find even this info on this page it is gonna be a happy road to migrating.
