Burning Knoppix

I'm trying to burn Knoppix v3.3 with a TDK 700MB c.d. I'm using the demo of Nero. Nero keeps saying that the disk doesn't have enough room. I have tried several different brands of unused c.d.'s, but Nero gives the same "not enough space" message for all of them. The "overwrite" feature has been turned on, and has not provided me with the space I need. My V3.3 IS Only 699MB. What is causing this to happen? Do you have any advise, or a solution?

it's nero. someone else just had that problem with v.6. when they loaded nero 5.5, it burned fine. i also burned knoppix 3.3 yest. w/ nero 5.5 and had no problem. the solution is to find another burning program.

p.s., only post in one forum.

if the overburn is set to 80min you should be able to burn 704mb on a 700mb CD. i have done this many times with nero from 5.5 up through 6.x . i don't think you need to register it in order to do so but if so e-mail me and i will give you what you need for whatever version you have. i do agree the older version of nero is easier to use but like i said any one of them should do so without any trouble. you may want to try CDRwin or Achohol120% to burn with instead.
thx

I managed to burn knoppix 3.3 the other day with nero 5 - though I have to make sure it "finalises" the disc before it will do it - the disc I used was a packard bell 700 mb one.

Search here there's quite a few hints and tips.

regards

John

I had the same problem, so I just switched to Easy CD Creator. Seems to have worked wonders.
