burning CD and DVD with xcdroast and wodim?

Having dificulty writing to CDs and DVDs with xcdroast, which seems to be a graphical front end for wodim; could I ask some basic questions?

1. Can ylu only have multi-session CDs - you can't do multi-sessions on DVDs?

2. Is it usual for these things to be so balshy and act funny and cock up the CD a lot?

3. May different file types, say ISOxxxx whateveritis and mpeg be mixed on the same CD or DVD? Thanks any help.
