Burning CD's with cdrecord

I'm in a problem with this; cdrecord -scanbus says
Code:
Cdrecord-ProDVD-Clone 2.01.01a10 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2006 Jörg Schilling
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.
This computer is a laptop with a CD-RW/DVD-RW device capable of burning. Long time ago I got this to work with K3b.

EDIT: lsscsi says
Code:
[0:0:0:0] disk ATA ST9100823A 3.01 /dev/sda
[1:0:0:0] cd/dvd HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GMA-4080N 0H35 /dev/sr0
EDIT2: Problem solved. I was missing some SCSI stuff from kernel.
