[root@bash]# cdrecord -v dev=3,0,0 image.iso

For a nice, friendly tutorial about using cdrecord, creating and making iso files, check this link out:

http://www.cpqlinux.com/cdrw.html

it's the best there is IMO

[root@bash]#cdrecord -speed=8

I guess... try "man cdrecord", it surely is there...

Code:
[root@localhost root]# cdrecord -v dev=3,0,0 /home/sandy/FC2-i386-disc1-1.iso
Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 J?rg Schilling
TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
scsidev: '3,0,0'
scsibus: 3 target: 0 lun: 0
Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/sg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.

cdrecord either can't find your cdr(w) device or SCSI is not enabled. Try runnig cdrecord -scanbus first to identify the device...

i checked, it was actually at 0,0,0...

seems to be working alright. I didn't specify any burn speed, so I'm guessing it's going at maximum speed. I hope it's still a healthy burn.
