Burning a blank CD

Hi all,

I need one information about burning CD. My requirement is to burn a blank CD-R with some files using command line.

How to do it? I googled and tried mkisofs and cdrecord. It is not working. I am trying again. As a part of it I thought of posting my question here.

Thanks in advance!!
