connect the drive up properly, and tehn boot into linux
if the drive is secnodary master then add a line saying append=" hdc=ide-scsi " to /etc/lilo.conf in each subsection that you want the burner to work in. then run "lilo" to update the boot imge, also check you have a line... alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi in /etc/modules.conf after that just reboot, and you should be done. your burner should then be referenced as /dev/scd0, which should be autodetected by your burner softweare of choice. i recommend eroaster. |
thanks for the help man, i went to download eroaster, but i don't think i have any of these...
Python Version 1.5.2, gnome-python 1.0.53, cdrecord 1.9, mkisofs 1.13 and those are eroaster requirements. i have phatlinux, and i'm not quite sure what all it has, i'm also havin problems with licq, i click it, and nothing happens.. thanks and if anyone has any ideas post please. :) |
well, just get the rpm's. i don't know what phatlinux comes with, but you should be able to get the rpms at the usual rpmfind.net if you've not got them already.
