Burn iso DVD from Windows XP?

I downloaded an evaluation live DVD iso file for SUSE 10.0 to try out on my PC running Windows XP, but it appears that it is not possible to burn iso DVDs from Windows XP. Is that correct?

Apparently I would have to wait for Vista, which would be rather defeating the object.

Finally, in Windows Vista it became possible to address another long-standing request and provide DVD burning capability.

Actually you can burn DVDs in XP, I remember I did burn DVD isos (Fedora Core 4 and SuSE 9.3) when I used Windows XP. I believe I used Nero that has the feature of burning isos. I'm pretty sure that there are other software alike.

What applications did you try?, Anyway you can use google to find many applications for burning DVDs.

First requirement for burning a DVD is to have a DVD burner. Then use Nero.

Thanks

The reason I thought it was not possible was the following from the Open Suse web-site:

Quote:

Microsoft Windows users
Windows XP can't create or copy ISO images, although the unauthorized ISO Recorder Power Toy can add this capability to Windows XP.
http://en.opensuse.org/Download_Instructions

which made it sound like ISO Recorder Power Toy was the best option and it doesn't do DVDs.

Thanks for your help.

its the actural xp burning software that cannot burn the iso files coreectly, download.com has loads of freeware cd burning software that will sort the job out, can burn dvd and cd.

Thanks. Have done it successfully with Nero for now. Not sure if that will time out.

CD Burner XP is free and does a great job. On CDs anyway. DVDs are supported but I don't have a DVD burner, so can't comment on how it does with those.
