Burn Iso
 

Ok so i have downloaded the iso's and need to know what to do now. I know that i am supposed to burn them to a disc, but how (just put the file on a disk?) or do i need to do something else

I am using my WinME machine and Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4

Please help

i had this problm to the other day trying to get STD boot on to a cd (wasted 4 cd's) but i used nero and ill i did was go to file burn immage and clicked the ISO so if u find something like that its probly your best bet

no you can't just put the iso on the disk, you have to do an actual image burn for when it does burn it extracts the contents to the disk ..

and i think in easy cd creator you have to do something like :
file --> record cd from cd image --> change the file type to iso --> then locate the iso
and then just hit burn, or record or whatever ..

very easy. boot your pc into windows. open my computer or windows explorer (do not open ezcdcreator). double click on the iso file. EZcdcreator will open and prompt you to click "go" or whatever to start a disk burn. put a blank disk in and start the burn - easy as that.

btw... iso files are a pre made, burnable "snapshots" of a whole cd, saved as a single file, made specifically for cd burning programs. they take the cd data and all the burn settings (such as bootable etc) and encapsulate them in a single file. they are made so that you can just download the file and not have to know any specifics (which files to include, whether to make the disk bootable, etc) its is all taken care of for you.

like I said, double click on the file, put the blank in, and click record.

when it finishes you should have a bootable install disk. Just make sure to go into your bios and change the boot sequence so it tries to boot to CD BEFORE the hard drive.
