Bumblebee resolution problem

I installed bumblebee and the resolutions complete shit, how can I fix this? also it still is extremely slow when playing games such as tf2. I feel like this only made it worse.

Hi:

Sorry to hear your resolution turned to crap-

You could try the Troubleshooting or Power Management section in the link.
<OR>

-::-If you're unsatisfied with Bumblebee, you can remove it via-::-

Code:
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge

    sudo ppa-purge ppa:bumblebee/stable
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee#Power_Management

Not sure what else you could try as I have very little experience with 'Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus'
