Bug report tool in Ubuntu 6.10

The bug report tool in Ubuntu 6.10 in Gnome is locked and keeps on recurring showing the same error. I can launch applications from the desktop, but I can't access the top menu line and I can't open a terminal . I can log out and open a terminal in failsafe mode, but if I do

$ ps ax

I am not sure which application I am looking for and anyway, I think probably the bug report tool is not running in Failsafe terminal mode. When I relaunch Gnome even after shutdown, the bug report tool just reappears. In Gnome, currently the bug report tool is clogging up the system. Any suggestions please.

The application is called Bug Buddy, but I can think of other names.

Thanks.
