Linpus Lite on the Acer Aspire One? That's a disaster that was just waiting to happen and, apparently, it has. I've got an Aspire One ZG5; I know from whence I speak. Have you tried asking on the Aspire One User forum
I very strongly
recommend booting from a live usb stick, grabbing your personal files, and installing a modern, more mainstream distro. Although I prefer Fedora, I've also happily run Ubuntu, Mint, Crunchbang, Puppy, Mandriva, and probably a few other distros on my AA1.
