Browser


Hi,

I am new in redhat 5.3. i want to open web browser in TEXT mode .is there any way or command used to open browser.

I want also open PDF file in TExt mode ...Please guide me....

you need if not already a text based browser.

Maybe a few ways. I think ghostscript supports to console.

Lynx is a text-only browser that runs in a shell (aka terminal).

Pdftotext converts Portable Document Format (PDF) files to plain text. See it's man page for details. Or you can use pdf2ps to convert the pdf file to a postscript file and then use ps2ascii to export the text.
