thank you for your reply fred yes did install the two drivers required printer recognised then spits out entire contents of load tray all blank ve been using ubuntu for six years and never managed to get a printer working in ubuntu always reverting to printing with winxp which I had on duel boot however `ve now dumped XP and think its about time I "beat this bogey " maybe w

Problem is now solved [I]ve upgraded to ubuntu 11.10 and my printers, wacom tab etc are now all regognised and working %100 thank you regards rich w
