Brother MFC-J875DW not working with Linux Mint 17

Hi Folks

I'm George, a WindowsXP refugee and totally new to Linux. Hoping someone will help in making this a less terrifying experience.

Instructions for installing the lpr and cupwrapper DEB packages are given there. Once that's done, it's just a matter of configuring using your distro's print config utility, or via a browser

and follow the prompts given.
